USED, RARE, and OUT-of-PRINT BOOKS

A complete line of general interest books, as well as a good selection of
MISSOURIANA, late 19th century FICTION, and early 20th century TRAVEL

Inside Possum HawLocated on the north side of the historic town square, our store is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 until 5.  We have a full service Espresso Bar and thousands of inexpensive books for you to consider.  You are welcome to browse.  Upstairs in the same building we have our better books, many of which are rare or hard to find.  The upstairs collection may be perused by appointment only.

Our on-line inventory is maintained with www.abebooks.com, a service which links together booksellers around the world. If you don't find what you are looking for on Abebooks, please let us know. We sort through books every day and have listed on-line only a few hundred of the books we have.

All inquiries promptly answered. Dealers are given reciprocal discounts. For payment and shipment information, please see our web page with Abebooks.
In case you are wondering, the Possum Haw is a deciduous holly and grows in two forms - a large shrub and a small tree. We have several of each growing in our yard at home in Fayette. It is an uncommon tree and never very big.

Our shop is closed for winter vacation from December 25 until mid-March and for summer vacation from late June until October. Please check to see if we will be open before you make a special trip to visit our shop.

Possum Haw Antiquarians is owned and operated by
James Wallace who has been selling books from this location since 1998.
